The Comet Nishimura survived its close encounter with the Sun and is now in our evening sky. It’s briefly visible just after sunset. Club member Collin Smith used www.theSkyLive.com to generate finder charts for Lubbock’s sky Thursday and Friday evenings. You’ll get better views away from city lights, but the comet is bright enough that it should be easily visible in suburban skies.
